Happiness as Public Policy
In 2012, the United Nations proclaimed 20 March as the International Day of Happiness—recognising happiness and well-being as universal human goals that deserve a place in public policy.
In 2016, the United Arab Emirates took this idea further by creating the position of Minister of State for Happiness, initially held by Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi. The UAE subsequently introduced national programmes designed to embed happiness and well-being within government policy,
​public services and workplace culture.
The need for this work has only become more urgent. The World Happiness Report 2026 places the United Kingdom 29th—down from 17th in 2021—reflecting a broader decline in well-being across several English-speaking Western countries. Finland remains first, while Costa Rica has risen to fourth, its highest position to date. Happiness is not a decorative idea or a private luxury. It is measurable, socially consequential and increasingly recognised as a serious responsibility for governments, organisations and communities.

We are World Women
We are psychologists, founders, artists, educators, professionals, mothers, thinkers and creators—women whose paths are different but whose purpose is shared. We come together to exchange knowledge, support meaningful work and turn experience into positive action. Because happiness is not passive: it is something we learn, ​practise and build—for ourselves and for the world around us.

A welcoming, psychologically informed theatre experience combining drama, improvisation, communication and creative expression. No previous acting experience is required.
